Blood Pressure Problems

High blood pressure or hypertension is often called the “silent killer” because often people do not have symptoms from it.  Usually people only find out they have it after a trip to the doctor for something else.  However, it is a very serious condition that can affect multiple body symptoms.  It is usually the case that a person is disabled from the other body systems that the hypertension has affected rather than from the symptoms of hypertension itself. However, sometimes a person does have chronic hypertension that is so high it can cause symptoms such as headache and dizziness.  If that is the case then hypertension can be considered as contributing to your limitations of function, but it is probably not going to be the condition that will get you disability benefits by itself.  Again, it is usually hypertension ugly affects that lead to disability such as stroke and heart attack.
