I am moving to North Carolina in a couple of weeks after I get medically retired from the military after 13 years of service for PTSD, a stroke, high blood pressure, gran mal seizures, manic depression memory loss, left side weakness about 30% percent usage, chronic headaches and insomnia since I had my stroke, and a long list of medications I have to take for the rest of my life and I am only 33, do I have chance for a claim. I have a the documention for all of this. All this has been going on since May 14th of last year.

Thanks.

Erik

It sounds like you probably qualify; I would need to see your medical records to be sure, of course. For example, one seizure a year is serious but not disabling; one a month probably is. The fact that the military awarded disability is a strong evidence, but not considered absolute proof, of disability.

You certainly need to file and pursue a claim if you cannot work or cannot get work.

Can a garnishment be filed on someone who receives military disability? I have a judgment on this person but have not been able to collect since he does not want to own a home, just tear up rented homes.

I don't know. I am sharp but narrow. Keep searching.

I know a little about military disability, but mostly at the points it intersects with Social Security disability.
