i am 30 years old and have been suffering from narcolepsy for as long as i can remember, but only recently was dianoised. i suffered a very tramatic childhood from abuse. i too suffer from female problems, having a hystertomy next week "total".i live in n.c. have 3 children and married, i have ran my own cleaning service since 1999, i pay taxes each year, my question is do you think i have good ground for a case? i have not cleaned a home since oct2001, due to passing out in the day ime, and not sleeping in the night. i also suffer from muscle spasm, i'm on beta blockers for now, the neuroligst is doing a sleep test on me next week.

Sonya, one good thing about narcolepsy is that it can be pretty well tested for, if you can afford the test. Be sure that the doctor comes up with a clear statement about how often you are losing control and for how long each day. Also, there are some things a doctor can do to cure the problem; you must try all of those things. Get an attorney to ensure that everything you need is in the file.
