I have chronic migraines which have caused me to lose several jobs because of my frequent absences.
can I qualify for disability?

Reply by Paul Yes, migraines can be a basis for disability. But it is a more difficult basis for a claim than most. This is because it is difficult to get an objective measurement of your problem. You must be positive that your doctor is supporting you; stay away from doctors who might not; get a good lawyer who handles a lot of these sorts of claims often; and hire him before you even quit work. You should also think about simply hanging on to work if possible - I know sometimes it is not - and about trying to work while trying for disability. Don't try this last without a lawyer at your side. Good luck.

Daniel,
Good luck! I have a similar problem. Incredible migrane headaches, and absent seizures. I've been through countless jobs. As I get older, the seizures are coming more frequent(the darn things are supposed to go away according to every DR. I've talked to)I am forced to look at disability myself now. Again, GOOD LUCK!
Pamela
