I am disabled and want to start a small buisness, but dont know who to talk to first? I think your forum is great! Keep it up. IN TEXAS

I cannot answer your question as asked, because I am not sure what you mean by disability. Do you mean that you are drawing Social Security? If so, any sort of steady activity might tend to prove that you could work, and thus tend to invite review of your claim.

On the other hand, the Social Security program has many excellent incentives for people who want to try to work. If that is the case, you might talk to an attorney, or describe your exact plan here on the board and I might make suggestions.

If you mean that you have impairments but are able to work, I am not a great expert on the programs outside the Social Security system, and I encourage you to continue your search and post back here whatever you find out.
