I was injured at work in the parking lot. We had snow a few weeks back. I took 2 steps out of the back door and fell. There were 5 witnesses present. I have a seperated shoulder, neck pain, and TMJ as a result. I am currently in therapy. My personal insurance is footing the bill, but I am paying my therapy copays ($30 each). I was told by the company that I work for that since I had just signed out they are not going to pay workmans comp. They made no efforts to clear the snow from in front of the door or the parking lot, and you are required to come to work for your scheduled shift. This Company works all year round no matter what day it is or what the weather conditions are. If anyone knows anything about South Carolina's policy about parking lot injuries please let me know. Thank you in advance.

It depends, in part on where you were headed when you walked out the back door. Please call me and let's discuss it.
