From what I have read on the message board, I don't think it would matter but just want to make sure. I have a small income from an early retirement ....and now work for the USPS..I am thinking about trying for disibility because I have a number of health problems that are causing me to miss alot of work with a lot of pain... Would the income reduce any amount that I may receive from disibility..... I live in NC and have been with USPS for almost six years?"

Right; I don't think so. There are a few kinds of benefits that serve to reduce the amount of Social Security Disability payments, but they are pretty rare. If this is retirement from an ordinary company, probably not.

I should add that such checks, and about any other income, would affect the amount of an SSI check.
