I called the office that was working on my claim because it had been over 150 days and she told me that a decision had been made but I had to call the local SS office to get the information. When I called the local office I was told that a preliminary decision had been made but my claim was called for a sample review and sent to the Regional Office where they could either agree or reverse the decision. I am 54 years old and have advanced cervical disk disease, advanced joint disease, Fibromyalgia, Crohns Disease, Torn Rotator Cuff, memory problems, never damage in both hands with numbness and cramping. I am unable to do clerical work any longer due to the problems with my hands and unable to stand more than 10 minutes or sit longer than 30 minutes due to lumbar stenosis. They have sent me to a psychiatrist and a neurologist who said he would see about getting me started, but I know his opinion does not hold alot of weight. All of my MRI reports were sent to SS along with a report from a Neuro Surgeon who recommended multi level surgery on the cervial spine. Does this sound like I will have to appeal??? I'm getting pretty desparate with no funds.
