Social-Security-Disability-Forum » Forum for Anyone Who Wants to Help with this Web Project

Welcome to Forum for Anyone Who Wants to Help with this Web Project. You may enter any of the individual discussions below by clicking on the appropriate link.

There are several tasks that this forum can help us all with.

First is help in understanding the law of Social Security Disability in all of its complexity. I think that the discus software, with its capability to handle unlimited subtopics over long periods of time, is an excellent vehicle for this task.

Second is dealing with disabled individuals who make inquires. While we should not advise those who are represented, and while the most common advice must be to get a local lawyer immediately, it might be appropriate to answer some basic questions posed by people who need guidance. Your guidance in how to do this without misleading anyone or taking undue advantage is also solicited by me.

Third is information about community resources for the disabled. While anything that smacks of legal advice must be dispensed with care, or in the worst case not at all, this forum could be an excellent source of general national assistance for people with disabilities, and attorneys in each area of the country could also contribute information about the sorts of assistance that are available locally. Most of my clients need insulin, or something like it, as much as they need money. I know how to get it for them in the Carolinas. I do not see why this forum could not be a source of information for many localities in the country.

Trust me, I know how frustrating it is to try to have some semblance of a normal life, when it take's everything you have, just to get by, so if you could point me in the right direction,I would be Proud to help!

It is very kind of you to offer. I encourage anyone else who is looking at this page to plunge in, too. If you are not an attorney, I particularly am looking for:

1. Links to other websites to help the disabled
2. Suggestions for assistance to the disabled, other than Social Security;

I have put two subtopics on the main discussion page, found on the Main Discussion Page.

They are,

Links to Other Websites that Help the Disabled

and

Other Assistance for the Disabled

where you could add such information.

Or you can be creative and add anything anywhere you like.

The best way to find out what might be helpful to others is to search the web for helpful sites, using search words like "disabled" and "disability" and the names of specific kinds of disability, etc. I think that the best search engine by far is Google. To perform a search in Google, simply type in google.com into your URL address box, or click here to go to Google. Simply start typing in your search terms.

Thanks for anything you can do!
