Answers to your questions about social security disability.

How You Can Contribute

Please think of this site as a place to both give and receive information about disability. You can help yourself and others in the following ways:
  • Recommending websites: If you know a website that might be helpful to the disabled, please visit our links page and add it. If you know something about disability websites or willing to look them up, sign up as a member and contribute regularly. If you are not a member, you may recommend websites; if you are a member you may add sites directly.
  • If you describe a website please follow the DMOZ Guidelines and DMOZ Site Description Rules; in other words don't brag excessively on your own website or rate it highly.
  • If you have a question, and find that no one else has asked it on the forum, you can contribute by asking the question. The question and its answer will help others.
  • If you know something about the disability process, by all means go to the forum and type it out. You will help a lot of people. If you are not sure where to put it, just put it somewhere and I will move it around. Please be sure you are right first!
  • I am particularly looking for sites that I can link to, and sites that can link to me. If you have a website, or have any influence at a website, please do consider putting a link to this site on that one.
  • Finally, if you are wildly enthusiastic about the concept of a site which answers all questions about disability, you can help with the project yourself. There are three sorts of people I am looking for.
    • First, attorneys with a lot of experience at disability law, who can answer questions. This might, or might not, be of some long term benefit to you.
    • Second, someone who can volunteer to find good websites that deal with disability. Anyone who has a little time and understands how to search on Google can help everyone who visits this site by placing links to recommended sites here. You don’t really have to have any training whatsoever; or even my permission. Just go to work right now.
    • I also need someone to sort and rearrange posts in the Forum. This would take a little training, and some understanding of Social Security law.

For many, such work is its own reward, and I suspect that, to the extent that you help others in this way, you will eventually be helped in one way or the other. If you don’t believe me, try and see.
