I am 32 years old and was tole on November 9, 2001 that I have Primary Bilirary Cirrhosis. I haven't been able to work for the past two months, is it possible that I may have a claim for disability. My doctor told me that he wanted me on temporary disability for now but I have been told there is no such thing as temporary disability. Would it be worth a try to file a claim with Social security for disability.

Reply by Paul That can be a serious disease. If there is any possibility that the condition might last for more than a year, you should file to get the process started. If you are able to go back to work, great, do that.
